POSITIVE AWARDS 2018
On that memorable day, July 1, 2018, our organization came together to host the very first Positive Awards, a celebration of the remarkable contributions of youth who were actively shaping the future of our nation through volunteerism.
The event was graced by the presence of a distinguished guest, His Excellency, Asif Ahmad, the British High Commissioner to Jamaica. In his inspiring address, he emphasized the significance of volunteerism not only in Jamaica but also throughout the entire Commonwealth. His words resonated deeply, highlighting the global importance of the work we were acknowledging.
We extend our heartfelt appreciation to all the partners and sponsors who wholeheartedly supported this endeavor, making it possible to recognize and honor these exceptional young individuals.
And now, the moment we had all been waiting for arrived. The spotlight shone brightly on our top Positive Awardees, the shining stars of the evening. These individuals were the epitome of #YouthsInspiringPositiveChange. Their stories of selfless dedication, tireless work, and unwavering commitment to nation-building left everyone in awe.
As each awardee stepped forward, the room erupted in applause, a resounding acknowledgment of their outstanding achievements. Their stories serve as a testament to the incredible potential of youth and the transformative power of volunteerism.
The Positive Awards of 2018 marked a significant milestone in our journey of recognizing and celebrating the youth who are the driving force behind positive change in Jamaica. It was an evening filled with inspiration, hope, and a deep sense of pride in our nation's young leaders.
