Our Positive Awards celebrate exceptional youth within our organization and those participating in our Youth4PeaceJA campaign. These individuals have undergone training in conflict resolution techniques and are on a path to becoming powerful advocates for positive change in their communities.

YIPCJA, in collaboration with UNDP Jamaica and partners like Rise Life Management, has identified and empowered young individuals from West Kingston and nearby areas as Youth4PeaceJA ambassadors. In Jamaica, our youth play crucial roles as partners and protectors, but they require enhanced capacities and training to continue as human rights defenders, peace-builders, activists, and community mobilizers.

Young people possess unique abilities to contribute to civic space, demonstrating resilience, creativity, and unwavering determination to promote peace, even in the face of risks and threats to their well-being. Recognizing the invaluable contributions of youth is pivotal to the ongoing process of nation-building and fostering positive change.
